The one thing Burberry reps get wrong

Check alignment. On an authentic Burberry piece the nova check is cut so that it lines up across every seam — across the placket, across the pocket flap, across the sleeve join. It costs the factory real fabric to do this, so most reps skip it and you end up with a check that jumps a centimetre at the shoulder. Lay the jacket flat, follow one stripe from the hem up to the collar, and see whether it breaks. That single test separates the top tier from everything below it.

The second tell is the knight. The horse's legs should be individually defined, not fused into a blob, and the lance should reach the top of the Equestrian Knight Device rather than stopping short.

How light is light

These are autumn-to-mild-winter jackets. Burberry does not build for −15°C and neither do the reps — the fill weight is roughly a third of a Moncler Maya. If you want something for actual cold, look at rep Moose Knuckles puffers or the long cut in Canada Goose long parkas.
